Sheikh Dr. Abdullahi BALA LAU, a renowned Nigerian Islamic scholar, cleric, mufassir, and preacher, was born in Taraba State on December 30, 1964, where his journey towards prominence in Islamic scholarship commenced. With a profound dedication to spreading the teachings of the Qur’an and Hadith, he emerged as a pivotal member of Jama’atu Izalatul Bidi’ah wa Ikamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) Nigeria, holding significant leadership roles within the organization from a young age, including his appointment as the public relations officer at 19, showcasing early leadership and commitment to JIBWIS.
Sheikh BALA LAU’s tenure witnessed remarkable strides, culminating in his appointment as chief Imam of the Daubeli Juma’ah mosque in Yola North, further solidifying his expertise and influence in Islamic teachings. His engagement in various leadership capacities within JIBWIS especially as the National Chairman of JIBWIS and his diplomatic efforts during the Nigerien crisis in 2023 underscore his commitment to promoting peace and understanding regionally.
